Day by Day

Her First Cast

Gregor Aug 10, 2008

The Ponsetti Specialist stopped by the NICU today and had a look at a much stronger looking and cuter Arrowen than we had put to bed last night. Day three and she was letting the doc know she didn't care for his checking out her pelvic function (by pushing against her legs at the hips in ways that had Nicole and I thinking the next sound would be the snap of some little bone). Passed the hip check with flying colours and the doctor proceeded to say that he felt that her foot was well within the bounds of repair, and said he was ready to do the first cast.

Nicole got to be doctor's assistant and held her foot and hip in place and two minutes later there was Arrowen in a leg cast. A little finger stroking on her third eye kept her calm throughout. She was an exceptional patient.
