I went up early morning today. When I got there I could see she was hungry by her suckling noises and puckering lips. I tried to breast feed her. It was bit more challenging today. The sucking mechanism seems fine, but her swallowing is still an issue. Tube feeding doesn't help, but we know at this point it is necessary.
It is nice when I breast feed, because we get to be in a room all alone together. There are rocking chairs in the room. So, I get to rock back and forth with her after feeding her. It is much easier to get in some good cuddles now that the IV is gone.
She was quite alert this morning. I told her about all the people who are thinking of her and all the special messages we have been getting from around the world for her.
After a while she started to get sleepy. So, we slept for bit. I was a bit tired, too.
