Day by Day

Her Struggle Is Over

Gregor Oct 30, 2008

Arrowen died in her sleep this morning, Thursday, October 30th, 2008, shortly before 6am. She had gone for her second cast on Tuesday and was miserable all day Tuesday. Her toes were getting swollen and she was obviously in a lot of pain, so we removed the cast Tuesday afternoon.

After a long night for her, she seemed better on Wednesday, but by the evening she seemed fairly out of it. Not really in pain anymore, but not being responsive. She slept through the night. Nicole had fed her at 4:30am and she was still alive and breathing, but I awoke suddenly at 6am and she was gone. It had obviously only just happened as she was still warm to the touch. We brought her to the hospital where Braedwyn had been born and they are now drawing up her death certificate.

She will be cremated at Wat Banboi at 2pm today. We are not sure what sort of ceremony will be happening. Please say a prayer for her in whatever way you see fit. These are her last few photos.

I have also uploaded a new video of her from this past Monday here.

This was a life cut far too short. We are all so sorry to hear of Arrowen's passing. She was SO blessed to have had you as parents and have spent her days and nights in such a loving place. Much love to the two of you and I hope the days ahead bring you some peace and solace.
